Snow Day

A true winter day has finally come! A real snow fall that has covered every thing in sight and with great accumulation!

Hayden and I ventured out to get the mail and then took the long way home, walking all the way around the house making tracks in the snow; his first time doing so.

How refreshing to take in the world through the eyes of a little one.

I relished in the ability to watch Hayden experience snow and all of it's wonder; the sound of it crunching under his boot, the fresh smell in the air, the adventure of making tracks; snapping pictures all along the way as to have a tangible reminder of the moments.

After our venture outside, we brought some snow inside for another first, thanks to Nana's suggesting, snow ICE CREAM! YUMMY!!!

Even Adelyn enjoyed the treat!

Our little recipe: fresh snow, sugar, vanilla extract, milk - all blended together.
